About the Authors:
Pauline Heffes
Pauline is mother to Alexander and Benjamin, and grandmother of Annabelle and Olivia. The knowledge gained under Ninette’s influence served as a basis for a career in cooking. Now semi-retired and living in Devon working as a freelance cook following agro-ecological principles.
 Renee Salamon
Born in Egypt, Renee is the youngest of Ninette’s three children. She was educated in England, and subsequently emigrated to Canada in 1972 where she worked in advertising for 15 years. On her return to England in 1987, she met and married Rabbi Thomas Salamon; they have one son, Aaron. Renee currently works as an events manager at Kent House Knightsbridge where she is involved in all aspects of catering.
